Verona Area Community Theater
Verona Area Community Theater, Inc. offers the Verona,
Wisconsin area community opportunities to participate in and enjoy all
facets of community theater. The mission for VACT, Inc. is to support
productions and projects that augment and enhance the artistic experience
for all who participate whether on stage, behind the scenes or in the audience.
These productions are understood to be occasions to refine skills, learn
new ones, and have fun. It is an organization goal to offer affordable
access to theater to the wider community and to provide educational activities
for Verona area residents in all aspects of staging theatrical productions.

May 14, 2013--
Marsha Heuer, (director: High Society), is on stage for Sun Prairie Civic Theatre's production of
Lucky Stiff, with 3 performances remaining this weekend. Show are at Cardinal Heights
Upper Middle School (The Old High School), 220 Kroncke Drive, Sun Prairie, May 17, 18 2013 at 7:30 PM and
May 19, 2013 at 2:00 PM. Marsha is also choreographer for Music Theatre of Madison's production of
Edgar Allan Poe's NEVERMORE, at Bartell Theatre's Evjue Stage, 113 E. Mifflin St.,
Madison. Performances are May 30 - June 1, 2013 at 7:30 pm each night.

Peter Pan Cast List |
April 19, 2013--
Verona Area Community Theater is please to announce the cast list for its 2013 summer production, Peter Pan.
Congratulations to everyone in the cast. There was so much talent casting was very difficult, but we are very pleased
with the cast. For those of you who weren't cast, please know that the competition was fierce; this is a much smaller
cast than usual with a very tight rehearsal schedule; and absences were crucial to the process. If you decide not to accept
your role, please let us know immediately so someone else can take your place.
First Rehearsal will be Monday, April 22nd at 6:45 at the VACT BUILDING at 405 Bruce St
(Directions). Please bring money for book deposits and staff gifts. We will
begin working immediately, so be prepared for singing and dancing!!

March 25, 2013--
Applications are due May 1 for anyone wishing to submit an application to direct VACT's Winter 2014 show,
Heaven Can Wait. If you are interested, please submit your application no later than
May 1. A description of the play is Here. Please
vist the Policies Page for application information. A director will be
chosen at the May Board Meeting. All applicants will be asked to attend this meeting to field
questions from the board members. Please note that performance dates are not available
yet. Scheduling of next season's PAC dates will take place in the next two months. Applications
may be subitted to the board in care of the President, Terry Dvorak.

The VACT Board of Directors meets monthly. Members are always welcome to attend.
The next meeting is Wednesday, May 15, at 6:00 PM at the
VACT Building, 405 Bruce Street.
MEMBERSHIP |
| Become a member of VACT! Membership entitles you to vote at the annual meeting for the new
Board of Directors and for the Winter and Summer productions (see article elsewhere). There
are only two requirements for membership. First you have to have been involved, in some way,
in a VACT production in the previous year and, second, you have to be 17 or older. Students
16 years and younger can be "apprentice members" and attend meetings and serve on committees,
but are not entitled to vote. Membership dues are $5 for an individual and $10 for a family.
Family membership entitles all qualified members (17 and older and in a previous year
production) to vote. If you are not able to come to the annual meeting, but would like to
be a member, you can download the handy membership form.
